Senet Extended Coverage
Senet Extended Coverage is achieved by interconnecting LoRaWAN networks through roaming agreements with network operators. Extended Coverage allows IoT devices to seamlessly connect within or move between network operator partner coverage areas.
Helium Network
Senet customers with LoRaWAN Virtual Network (LVN) access can use the network provided by Helium to connect to Senet at no additional cost. The Helium Network extends Senet Public LVN coverage across the globe.
Senet provides tools that enable our customers to locate available Helium coverage in areas of interest and provides an overlay of Helium coverage within the Maps section of the Senet cloud deployed network operating system.
Helium Join Server Requirements
To join the Senet network through Helium Hotspots, devices must be provisioned with a Join Server EUI used exclusively on the Senet network. As shown in the table below, devices programmed with a Senet Join Server EUI and configured on a Senet Public LVN Application (NetID9) may join on either the Senet LVN network or through Helium. Devices programmed with a Join Server EUI derived from an OUI block owned by the application owner or a third-party vendor are also allowed to join on either the Senet LVN network or through Helium, provided the Join Server is used exclusively for devices on the Senet platform. Senet requires a written statement detailing the exclusive use of the Senet Designated Join Server EUI on the Senet platform. Senet Designated Join Server EUIs are approved on a case-by-case basis. Helium Compatibility Matrix (Senet Public LVN)
NOTE: Devices programmed with a Join Server EUI that is not exclusive to Senet will not be permitted to join through Helium.

Communicating Through a Helium Hotspot
To communicate through a Helium Hotspot, devices must be Registered and Activated directly with Senet under an LVN accessible (public) Senet Application Provider account. After Activation, the device's join procedure can be initiated. Once initiated, devices programmed with a Senet allocated or Senet Designated Join Server EUI may join through either the Senet LVN or Helium. Devices programmed with a Join Server EUI that is not exclusive to Senet must join through a Senet LVN Base Station.
Once joined to the network, the devices can communicate through Senet LVN or Helium.

US915 ISM Band
US-based Helium Hotspots operate on sub-band 2 (channels 8-15 of US915 ISM Band).
When using a combination of Helium and Senet public LVN, Senet recommends aligning customer 8-channel LVN connected Base Stations with the default Helium channel plan (sub-band 2).
It is strongly recommended that devices adhere to the LoRaWAN specification and initially attempt to join across all 64 channels with ADR enabled. Once Joined, devices will be commanded to operate and communicate across both Senet LVN Base Stations and Helium Hotspots on sub-band 2.
